During a Weverse Live broadcast on June 6, the 19-year-old confidently stated, “I want to come out. I’m bisexual.” Fellow member Lara, who previously came out as gay in March, was present during Megan’s announcement, offering silent support.
Megan’s revelation follows Lara’s heartfelt message earlier this year, in which she shared, “I knew I was gay since I was around 8 years old. My sexual identity is a part of me, and I’m not ashamed of it.” The group’s openness has been widely embraced by fans around the world, with messages pouring in through Weverse, including comments like, “Megan, we love you so much” and “We’re proud of you.”

KATSEYE, a six-member multinational girl group formed through HYBE and Geffen’s global collaboration, officially debuted in June 2024. The lineup includes Yoonchae from South Korea, Manon from Switzerland, Sophia from the Philippines, and three American members—Daniela, Lara, and Megan.
In April, the group gained international attention with their single “Gnarly,” which entered the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 92 and also charted on the UK’s Official Singles Chart Top 100. As KATSEYE continues to rise in global popularity, its members’ honesty and courage are also helping pave the way for greater inclusivity in K-pop.
