K-pop group (G)I-DLE has officially rebranded as “i-dle,” signaling a fresh start and a broader artistic identity ahead of their 7th debut anniversary. Announced via their official channels on May 1, the group—Mi-yeon, Minnie, So-yeon, Yuqi, and Shu Hua—has removed the “G” and parentheses from their name to move beyond gender-based labels and embrace limitless creativity.

Accompanying the name change is a sleek new logo featuring lowercase letters “i d l e” and a symbolic star formed by five “i”s—representing each member’s individuality and unity as a group.
Following their full contract renewal with CUBE Entertainment last December, i-dle’s rebranding marks a confident step toward global expansion and musical evolution.
Known for hits like “LATATA,” “TOMBOY,” “Nxde,” and “Queencard,” the group’s recent successes include their second full album 2 with the chart-topping “Super Lady” and viral B-side “Fate.” Their 7th mini album I SWAY and world tour across 14 cities further solidified their status as global K-pop leaders.
With this rebrand, i-dle is set to begin a bold new chapter — unbounded by labels, driven by artistic freedom.
