YG's New Girl Group Begins with 15-Year-Old Aussie Trainee EVELLI

Introducing the first member of the agency's next 4-member group project

YG Entertainment has unveiled the first trainee of its next-generation girl group project, sparking excitement among global K-pop fans. On May 28, the agency released a performance video titled "YG NEXT MONSTER | EVELLI - 'Nosebleeds'" on its official blog (YG LIFE), featuring 15-year-old EVELLI, a trilingual talent from Australia.

Set to debut in a 4-member girl group that follows in the footsteps of BLACKPINK and BABYMONSTER, EVELLI is the first member to step into the spotlight. Her monthly evaluation stage, shown unfiltered in the video, captured a powerful and dynamic performance of Doechii’s “Nosebleeds.”

While her lovely visuals first catch the eye, it’s her husky low-tone vocals and confident stage presence that truly command attention. EVELLI flowed seamlessly between steady grooves and fast-paced rap, showcasing an impressive range of tempo control and charisma far beyond her years. Her ability to handle a challenging hip-hop track with both swag and finesse instantly drew comparisons to her YG predecessors.

EVELLi is more than just a promising performer. She's also fluent in English, Korean, and Spanish, signaling her potential as a truly global artist. With a sharp stage presence and strong vocal and rap skills, she has already proven herself as an all-rounder well-suited for YG’s iconic girl group lineage.

As YG gradually unveils the rest of the lineup, anticipation is mounting. Executive producer Yang Hyun-suk has emphasized a focus on “raw talent and performance,” indicating that this project will highlight skill-based artistry at its core.

With EVELLI setting the tone, the countdown has begun for the emergence of YG’s next monster rookie group.
